This webinar was held to address how the sector in Canada is seeking to address this issues. It is merely the start of a conversation with organizations in this sector. This conversation will hopefully continue and include and involve organizations of all sizes, across Canada, working on various themes and parts of the world, regardless of their affiliation.

As development and humanitarian organizations, we have a duty of care to all the people we work with; made even more critical by the power imbalances inherent in our work. Our sector is uniting around a commitment to create safe and respectful workplaces and programs that promote gender equality and are free from gender-based violence.  The co-chairs of the CCIC Steering Committee to Address and Prevent Sexual Misconduct will join us to discuss emerging initiatives aimed at improving practices and policies that might protect and respond to our own staff, volunteers and the communities we serve.
